I forgot to mention in the post – I’m using this neat web app called ifttt – http://www.ifttt.com – to automate some of my sharing. Every time I save an article to Delicious or a bookmark to Diigo, the title & link automatically get sent out via my Twitter feed.

I don’t think it’s that they /can’t/ keep the RSS feed… I’m positive this is G’s way of pushing G+ among the more techie-oriented people who use their RSS reader.

Interesting point of view. I’ve always used a reader (Google, mostly) for consumption, but I did share somewhat in the early days. It didn’t seem to catch on, so I quit using that feature without really meaning to. That seems a little strange that they can’t just keep a simple RSS feed of your shared items, in addition to using a G+ button. You’re right, though. Once it hits G+, Facebook, Twitter, et al., there’s a good chance of it getting lost among the noise of everything else.
